Hi, I’m Davey, Caretaker/Handyman for The Great Steward of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust. My job is to manage the security of the House which hosts the finest collection of Chippendale, Alexander Peter & William Mathie furniture in the world. I have lived with the House and collections for over 10 years, as I had this position with the former owners (the Bute family) so I know every nook and cranny and piece of furniture very well! I am looking forward to playing my part in the opening of the house to the public this summer.
