Chris Leung

Programme Director, Asia, The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum, Responsible Business

I am the Asia Programme Director of the International Business Leaders Forum and I am based in Seattle.  I travel to Asia frequently and manage IBLF programmes in China, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, covering a range of themes such as corruption, enterprise development, conflict, health & safety and sustainable development. I'm also actively involved in facilitating dialogues and development activities linked to corporate social responsibility with local partners in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

I've been working at IBLF since 2001, and before joining IBLF I had over 15 years of human resources management experience working in the U.S., Hong Kong, China and Singapore. I was born in Indonesia, grew up in Macau, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and received higher education in the United Kingdom and United States of America.

I think that IBLF's greatest strength is its ability to bring people together to address a common issue on the ground and to sustain the effort by building cross-sector partnership and promoting local ownership.  To have the opportunity to not merely meet people from different countries, but to get to know the local partners well, and to play a role in building their confidence to eventually tackle local issues successfully on their own is truly a privilege.
