Dumfries House Discoverers - Winter Meetings 2008/09
Open to children aged 7-10 years old
Sat 10th January 'Hibernation' - How and why do animals hibernate?
Sat 24th January 'Tracks and Trails' - Discover the signs that creatures large and small leave behind.
Sat 21st February 'Flight' - What makes it fly? How will animals fly in a million years? Use your imagination and come along to find out more.
Sat 14th March 'Keep safe' - Community Police Officers will be there to talk about the internet, mobile phones, bullying and staying safe on the streets.
Venue: Dumfries House, please enter via the Barony Road, drive down to the house. Parking available at rear and front of house. The house will not be open for tours.
Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm. Please arrive by 9.45am to register.
Cost: £3 per child payable on the morning of the meeting.
Booking: Places are limited to 20. Booking prior to arrival is essential. Please call 01290 425959 to book your place, lines open 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
